Yeah, we're cool. Here's why...
 |
Ben - Guitars / Vocals |
Ben is a man of many trades. He has done everything from delivering newspapers when he was a kid to flipping burgers at Hardee's throughout his high school years to working construction during the summers to being a personal trainer in his college fitness center to teaching elementary school (Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 6th grade) for seven years after college. The only thing that has remained constant through all of those years of work, was Ben's love for music. In high school, he used to drive his parents crazy with his need to play guitar at extreme volumes for way too many hours everyday. Although he drove them insane, they always encouraged him to go after anything he wanted. This support led him to continue his musical pursuit throughout college, playing with many bands and then doing a solo acoustic project for many years. After a few years in the "real world", he became comfortable in his career as a teacher. However, this comfort didn't last very long. His passion for music kicked in, and soon he found himself torn between chasing a dream and having a comfortable career. As you can see, the career along with all of his college courses took the back seat. He now strives to be the rockstar he saw in the mirror as a child. Along with the band, he is also trying his hand at making a career as a songwriter for many styles of music. As for everything to come, he can't wait! |

Chester - Bass Guitar / Vocals |
Chester, whose Christian name is PJ McDonnell, grew up
in the small town of Independence, Va in a very
musical family. Starting on piano lessons in Fairview
Elementary School, Chester graduated onto bass out of
necessity to start performing with local musicians in
nightclubs by his early teens. Besides "on the job"
training, he gained a substantial amount of his
education through years of private instruction by many
revered teachers in East Coast. He is just as
inspired by Green Day and Social Distortion records as
he is the Oscar Peterson Trio, John Coltrane, or any
Motown record.
He has performed in a variety of settings; as a bass
player for the Coasters - the first vocal group
inducted into the rock n' roll hall of fame, musical
theatre, and as a sideman for various national rock,
folk and bluegrass acts.
Look for Chester jumping all over the stage, wearing
his signature shades, skullcap and cowboy boots at
your next Pistoltown show.

Zach - Drums / Vocals |
Although Pistoltown resides in Nashville, TN...Zach is the only Nashville native in the band. He started playing drums at a very early age. His passion for the drums grew as fast as he did. By the time he was in highschool he was the the "man" when it came to playing the drumset. After graduating h.s. he put in a few years at MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University). Although he loved to study spiders, it was at this time he realized that his true passion was music.
Since the, he has played with many bands on the local and regional level. Studying with world-reknown drummer, Charlie Adams (Yanni) for many yearshas put some fire into Zach's playing. While learning the technical aspects of playing the drums, Zach took more of the straight-ahead rock approach while playing. He comes straight from the stylings of Motley Crue, Kiss, etc. You will notice this right away, whether it's flipping/twirling his sticks, or ferociously beating his drums...he definitely draws some attention to the drums. |
